GUtech Celebrates the Successful Conclusion of the Summer Academy and Ma’rifa & Taziz Programmes
The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) concluded the 8th edition of its Summer Academy programme and the 3rd edition of the Ma’rifa and Taziz programme, funded by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and supervised by the Ministry of Education. The closing ceremony marked the graduation of 100 students from the summer programme, under the patronage of Dr. Aflah bin Saeed Al-Hadhrami, General Manager of Petroleum Development Oman.
The programme, which spanned four consecutive weeks, offered a wide range of academic courses in English, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Entrepreneurship. Workshops covered topics such as Geology, Architectural Design, Virtual Reality, and Engineering, as well as other future-focused disciplines.
In addition, the programme offered a wide range of cultural and sports activities, with guest speakers from various fields sharing their expertise. It also included several educational and recreational trips. The aim of this program was to broaden the intellectual horizons of the participating students, enabling them to engage in both academic and non-academic experiences to enhance their knowledge and future aspirations.
