Aiming to enhance scientific cooperation in the field of minerals, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Professor Dr Michael Braun the Rector of the German University of Technology in Oman and Ministry of Energy and Minerals in the field of Geology and Earth Science. The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of mineral exploration, development of geographical and geological database in the Sultanate of Oman, and support innovation and development of local manufacturing in the mining industry. The MoU promotes collaboration in geological surveys, studies, and research, as well as boosting joint efforts to explore metallic and non-metallic minerals. It also supports updating the development of the geographical and geological data in the Sultanate of Oman, facilitating exploration and prospecting, and conducting training programs designed to improve the capabilities in the minerals sector.
