A distinguished delegation from the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) visited the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) on Wednesday, 25 November, to discuss opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and sustainable development.
The delegation, led by Dr Philipp Dienstbier, Director of the Regional Programme Gulf States at KAS, was warmly welcomed by GUtech’s Rector, Professor Michael Braun, and the Honourable Dr Hussein Al Salmi, Deputy Rector for Administration and Finance.
Following a productive discussion, the delegation toured GUtech’s state-of-the-art campus and the History of Science Centre, which highlights the remarkable contributions of Arab and Islamic scholars to global scientific advancements.
Professor Michael Braun, Rector of GUtech, commented:
