Visit of the Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Higher Education to the German University of Technology in Oman

The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) received the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education of the State of Kuwait, Lamia Al-Mulhim, on an official visit aimed at strengthening academic and research cooperation between the two institutions.
During the visit, the Undersecretary toured the university campus, where she was briefed on the university’s advanced facilities. She also held a meeting with the university administration to discuss ways to enhance student exchange and develop joint academic programs.

The Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Higher Education expressed her admiration for the academic and research achievements of the German University of Technology in Oman. She emphasized the importance of strengthening the partnership between universities in the two countries to achieve more academic successes.

Additionally, she affirmed the pursuit of accreditation and academic recognition for the German University of Technology in Oman in the State of Kuwait.

Basmah Al-Amiri, Associate Deputy Rector for Administrative and Financial Affairs, welcomed the visit and stressed the university’s readiness to enhance cooperation with academic institutions in Kuwait. She highlighted the exchange of experiences and knowledge to benefit students and the academic community.

Dr. Fatima Al-Madkori, Head of the Registration and Students Affairs Department, outlined the most important initiatives and developments at the university. She provided information about the available bachelor’s and master’s programs and international cooperation with various universities in Europe.

Sabriya Al-Naamani, Head of the International Office Department, added details about the university’s international office, German academic exchange services sponsored by DAAD, and the scholarship mechanisms provided by the institution to international students.

The visit concluded with a discussion of future opportunities for academic and research cooperation between the two countries, followed by a tour of the Center for the History of Science.
