On 20th October, the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) had the privilege of hosting a delegation from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, led by Dr. Chou Chi-Chung, Vice President of National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan. The delegation introduced NCHU’s academic programmes and scholarship opportunities, followed by a presentation from Dean Ching-Chih Tsai on the Semiconductor Academy of NCHU. Additionally, Prof. Yang Ming-Der delivered an insightful presentation on the advancements of Artificial Intelligence in Smart Agriculture.
The event concluded with a guided campus tour, where the delegation explored GUtech’s state-of-the-art facilities and engaged with faculty members. The interactions highlighted mutual interests in research and innovation, paving the way for a fruitful partnership between GUtech and NCHU. Overall, the visit was a significant step towards strengthening ties between Taiwan and Oman in the field of higher education and research.
